At F. Rodgers … Safety Comes FIRST!
F. Rodgers Corporation is dedicated to the safety and health of all its employees. At F. Rodgers our most valuable resources are the people who work for us. We are committed to preventing injuries.
The purpose of the F. Rodgers Safety Program is to provide policy and guidelines to eliminate all injuries by providing the safest workplace. The prevention of injuries is the first and primary consideration of the program. F. Rodgers strictly enforces its Safety Program to ensure a safe working environment for all workers.
The safety program is under the direct supervision of a full time Safety Director. The safety director reports directly to the Chief Safety Officer who reports to the CEO and President of F. Rodgers. We continue to improve upon our safety record by continuously training our workforce regarding the ever-changing codes and regulations for our industry. Safety Inspectors, superintendents and job foremen are responsible for the safety of the crews, ensuring that state and federal safety regulations and company safety policies are followed. All our superintendents are OSHA 10 certified.
For years, F. Rodgers has documented EMR (Experience Modification Rate) and IR (Incident Rate) ratios both below industry standards for both Intrastate and Interstate. Our current EMR .74. Through the diligent effort of management, supervisors and all employees F. Rodgers has had a good safety record and has received many safety awards as a result. Translation: Our customer’s benefit by lower costs and our employees benefit by a safe work environment.
F. Rodgers knows that safety is an investment, not an expense. The company has instituted a generous reward system to encourage supervisors and workers to observe proper safety practices. Individuals are encouraged and rewarded by addressing safety issues.
F. Rodgers would like to take this opportunity to express its belief in a strong safety program and reaffirm our commitment to our ultimate goal of zero accidents and to provide a safe work environment for all our employees. Accidents cost time and money, but most of all, accidents can cause needless suffering and can even cost lives.
Our goal “Every worker goes home safe everyday”.
We hope you share our concern for providing a safe work place, because to make a safety program effective, all of us must work together. We look forward to working with you to make your project a safe and successful one.
